“Hang-in-there” ~ such is the goal; howbeit, “hanging-in-there” may not be without tears. I have imagined that behind the eyes of this creature of God we may see a determination to “keep on keeping on” through disappointment, love rejected, and experiences of being “slapped by life;” although we do not choose how and where we are “planted,” we can and do choose to continue growing.
